I won a free movie pass

Got free popcorns from AMC Movieclub when seeing The Hangover. Nice little perks/rewards.

Man, when I was still in the States I racked up over 1k points with AMC. I thought they'd give me some kinda celebration when I did it but it was just more movie passes. And Mauro exaggerates. I haven't been to the movies since Thursday. I've seen four film since then, though.

That's insane. $54 when most movies you could go to are going to suck. I'm glad I don't really enjoy sitting through movies at theatres anyway.

Yeah...the girlfriend and I tend to bring our own snacks so we end up only spending $25 or so. Not too bad if it's a good movie.

You need to learn how to sneak things into the theatre.

I picked a popcorn tub out of the garbage in front of the theatre and brought it to the concession stand for a free refill. Beat that.

I was racking up the points with my AMC/Regal card, but now I only go to a Rave theater near me - much nicer, and the DLP projectors are fantastic. Never a problem with the teen projectionist/chimpanzee's inability to focus.

I realize you are Mauro Farinelli and days off are rare, and weekdays off are even rarer... but go during the day.

I went before work the other day to see 'Away We Go' with the wife and my ticket was $5. Plus I had just eaten breakfast so the twizzlers I snuck in via my wifes purse were more than enough to tide me through the film.

i only go see a movie in the morning. less teenage shitbirds acting like fucking morons than at night.

not sure if this is about winning free stuff at the theater or just getting free stuff in general:

but i get these kind of things on occasion too not more or less than any other average joe.

last year i had the free 3 nights' stay at Wynn, with 100 dollars free to spend on dining and 100 free slot play.
that is right, i had around a 900 dollar worth package for free. i looked into it and made sure it was not something with strings attached, it was just i was a lucky winner. there were several there when i got there.

one time i won a free set of water skis? at a hotel (something like that) not sure what it was but i opted for the cash amount they gave me was just 100 dollars. i guess it was cheap water skis.

i got a free 100 dollar gift cert from neiman marcus one time. just for no reason. i called and they looked up the number and said 'yep, it is free, just go use it'. bought my wife a couple of cosmetic pieces.

etc and etc.

i also find people's stuff all the time, i found a lost wallet with 20 dollar bills in it with checkbook and credit cards. i turned them all into the customer service at nordstrom and made sure i revealed everything in the video and they were cool anyways because they know me.

last weekend i found a nice phone. no one claimed it. so i brought it to the management's office.

i found a gold bracelet once on a sidewalk once. i kept that . wouldnt you? out in public domain.
i found a very nice umbrella on a bus stop bench while i was running. i ran by again 30 minutes later and it was still there (at night) so i took it.
