Lols this guy spilled his drink on my wife and I. After we cleaned up he tried to give me 50 bucks. I guess that's his way of apologizing

I once made a guy buy MrsG a round, bring it to her, and apologize after one of the girls he was with spilled a drink on MrsG. Anyone who has ever met (or seen a picture of) me knows how amusing it is that I was able to intimidate anyone into anything ever.

Perspective is a fascinating thing . It really does seem impossible that ships float and airplanes can fly . Another similar example I was given once in an astronomy class was that if reduced in scale the highest concentration of stars in the galaxy would be approximately equivalent to two golf balls in the Pacific Ocean

Comparisons like that WRT space always get me. The scale is just staggering.

Who is entertained by those commercials where Dennis Leary talks like a tough guy about trucks?

is that even safe? god these ******* car mod guys are so ******* stupid.

I was just behind some ******* rice racer with lowered suspension and every single time there's a hump or some pothole he'd slow down and go diagonal over it, and then push the pedal and sprint until the next pothole comes up. ******* pointless motherfucking idiots.

I don't think it is, it's called Oni camber / Demon camber.

I had a car like the ricer you mentioned, except mine was an Audi and not ricy.

in the states, these cars are 'stanced' or (the worst slang term for cars in automotive history -) "hellaflush". dear God, I like modifying cars myself and checking out/driving nice cars, but all the gene pool rejects are in that scene.

Stance is a reference to ride height and how it sits in context to the wheels, hella flush just means, that the lip is flush with wheel arches and not poking (aka. german fitment) or tucking.

Those cars are closer to bosozoku style, than anything.

I feel like I might have posted this before, but I really, really don't get why anyone gives a crap about awards shows.

Me neither. I didn't even know the Emmys were on last night :embar:.

I'm glad House of Cards won an award tho. I really hope they shift the tv show paradigm so we aren't at the mercy of **** cable companies anymore.

Yeah, I had no clue until all of the "news" sites I visit started talking about who won and what they wore while they did it.

Cool that House of Cards won, I suppose (MrsG and I just finished the first disc over the weekend and love it), but I've just never understood why I should care. I can sort of see caring if you're in the business, because it's confirmation that your peers respect you, but why does the average TV/movie/music consumer care what celebrities think of one another?

Bosozoku is a motorcycle/scooter subculture. It generally involves riding pieces of **** bikes with either no or noisy mufflers and revving the **** out of the thing so as to disturb as many people as possible. They also like to dodge in and out of traffic, run red lights, lead the police on chases. Bosozoku don't drive cars. Although some car modifiers are said to take inspiration from the awful bosozoku bike styling, these cars are generally more similar to Group 5 racing cars from the 70s than anything above.
