So you see what I'm saying? Bill could have been cast much better, and he wouldn't be getting eclipsed so easily. Keep in mind, 50% of Eric is some comedic relief. I mean, the hair dye stuff? Or much of the interplay at the Vamp bar in season one?

If Bill were a big, imposing looking guy vs. a rather non-descript Aussie trying to do a mild Southern accent? It would be playing much better IMO.

I like Bill as a charcter but his is a ***** and is only a bigger ***** when around Eric.

The bomb should have killed Jason who was 5 feet away and sookie. I will assume since vampires are immortal that they are ok.

I think the bomb needs to go off for the storyline to continue. Else whats the next development? There needs to be more conflict amongst the vamps. The bomb does that...

That is why the bomber had all the silver chains... i believe the silver can kill the vamps.

I think there has to be some cross over with the other story line... the one with the demon lady who eats hearts and makes people have kinky sex.

I do not see how those 2 story lines go together (eric/bill/stackhouse storyline... with the bar/lafayette/murders/shapeshifters/kinky sex demon lady).

Oh wait... Maybe the bomb does kill sookie and jason... and they can only be saved by becoming vamps.

I'm wondering how big of a "bomb" it was. Strong enough to say, cause structural damage, or just strong enough to toss the silver caltrops around? Remember, as resistant as they are to most things, wooden stakes and silver have a disproportionate impact on Vamps. I'm almost wondering if the kid that walked in with the package doesn't live, as he didn't seem like the suicide bomber type.

I don't think the bomb will go off...one of the vamps will do that 1000 mph runnin' thing and grab the dudes hand before he pushes the button, or maybe throw themselves on top of him to sacrifice him/herself to save the sheriff...we need someone whose read the books.

Kinda like when the church lady shot Jason with the paintball gun...

Alan Ball is too good of a director to have this happen without reason. So many people like Eric over Bill because they want us too.

I think in the books Bill is more of a dickhead and Eric more the hero...but we shall see.

In the books Eric is nothing like his tv version. He isn't a bad guy at all, he's always making jokes and flirting with Sookie. The thing with Lafayette being his prisonner never happend in the books. In the books the person who was found in the car with their heart ripped out was Lafayette but instead in True Blood it was the voodoo lady. A lot of people like Lafayette which is why he isn't going anywhere.

I haven't read the books, but I think you are right on target with Lafayette. He was obviously set up to die and the end of S1, but the fans loved him so much, the writers had to figure out a way to keep him going.

He's not been nearly so "Lafayette" this season though.

Not sure about the bomb situation...if I'd have to guess, it'd be that Goddrick throws himself on it and is killed, thus sparking the war he had stopped earlier.

Maryanne needs to go. I used to think she was kinda sexy like a cougar/milf but that last stunt with the heart crossed the line. The weird black eyes also makes things worse.

I wish they cast someone else as Godrick, the guy looks like a dawsons creek reject.

I also hate what they did with Chris Bauer, Sobotka was an excellent character Belfleur? not so much.

Yeah, Bauer so good as Sobotka, hard to see him with a second rate character.
