Cognac shoes only in warm months?

Gentlemen and others:

Is cognac (like below) only appropriate in warmer months? What if I lived in Hotlanta? Could I wear it all year?

For that particular pair of shoes I say all year round. However, it a shoe is a much lighter hue of cognac maybe they would be more appropriate for warmer weather wear.

I'd wear those year round, especially in Atlanta; however, I tend to reserve my lighter shoes (e.g., Whiskey) for spring/summer.
