Why yes, I did steal this idea!

Picked up a few pairs of shoes before the Commonwealth games starts - I don't want to be anywhere near the city for the next couple of weeks.

Yet another pair of dirt-cheap Dunlop Volleys, in black and dead white, which is why I picked them over the black-and-beige Vans:

(Which reminds me, ArdeeTee, if you're still around, Target got in a bunch more of those Volleys with the white leather perforated uppers, so send me a PM if you're still interested.)

Nike Air Force 1 mids, all white, FRESH OUT THE BOX, BABY.

(Became obsessed with them after watching a documentary on sneakers in which they were the connoisseurs' choice for an essential sneaker.)

Vans leprechaun slip-ons:

(They're green, man.)

Anyone feel like posting photos of their new babies?

(NB: Not actual babies.)

Those Volleys look great! They're almost identical (spare a few details) to the Vans.

How much did they set you back, and where do I get my hands on a pair?

I think they were AU$35-40 - this particular pattern, you can only get at Williams "the Shoemen", do you know them? Apparently there's a few in Sydney.

I bought this pair of Puma Match's today:

I don't buy that many shoes, normally I limit myself to owning 2 pairs of sneakers and a pair of boots at one time. These are the first I've bought in almost a year.

Does anyone know how to care for new sneakers before you wear them? I have some soft white shoe cream and some waterproofing spray... what do I use?

Speaking of sneakers, check out Adidas' new Adicolor line:

WOW. Although most of them aren't to my taste I'm really impressed by a few: the J-Money/DQM pair (god I want those!), the Peter Savilles, the Woodwoods, and a couple others. I reeeeeeeeeeeally want the J-Moneys and the Savilles.

Something for everyone in that collection - the Toy2Rs, the green camo Superstars, the Claude Closkys with the squiggled-on lines, even a Pucci print. Crazy, I love 'em.

All the matching belts and accessories, too.

no kidding. Check out the Hideout pair -- if you look at the hi-rez image you can see the print is a massive collage of EYES. Hahaha.

This collection is amazing! I really hope I can find the J-Moneys somewhere.

Hell yeah! Adidas comes correct as usual. When, where and how much can I get these sneaks?

I think US distribution started about a week ago, but I'd imagine they'll stagger the releases over 3 or 4 months.

Minya will know much better than I - Australia will probably get only the ugliest two colorways, both of which will sell out on the first day.

Yeah, I called my local Williams, they quoted me $39.95.
I was hoping they would be around $20-$30 like other Volleys.

Still $50 cheaper than Vans though

I picked up a pair of Nike SB Sandalwood Dunks yesterday. According to most of the other boards that I read, they seem to be some kind of vegan shoes, due to the fact that vegans don't feel like wearing leather shoes. They are also supposedly some what water proof, but I'll find that out some other time. Pics later.
