Just a heads up about those flannels in the pic (btw, thanks Robin): seems as though they are cut more true to size this season (compared at least to last F/W and S/S08), as both my M shirts were too tight (I am a large in other brands like EG and WWM and used to be a medium for RRL).

measurements i was given today for the rrl selvedge oxford are
medium: 20.25 pit to pit
small: 18.5 pit to pit

i took measurements at a Rugby store today:
medium: 20.5 pit to pit
small: 19.75 pit to pit

so Rugby is bigger by those numbers. I could wear a small in rugby (slim fit, but not constricting), but the RRL would be too small. not sure if I should go small in Rugby or try the medium RRL

Can anybody provide insight into the major differences between the slim boot & straight leg?

So (potential dumb question alert!) this means the low straight is a 501 with a lower rise?

How about the fit of the slim boot?

Lower front and back rise, slimmer knee, slight bootcut (maybe ".5). The fit is a little different from the Slim Cut/Low Straight.

Low straight is actually a bit slimmer all around than the Straight, very similar to the old Slim Cut.

After seeing them in store and then in spite of seeing them on clownie above, it took me a day and night of tossing and turning before lust drove me back to the store to buy them a couple of months back.

damn I didn't remmebr the price being so high but if the wash is intense it very well could and the fact you paid $365.00 makes you right.

The ones in the posted photo don't look like the same color as the washed ones linked.
