I need a pair of rain boots and I'm wondering what brands are popular and which ones are good for the price? I was thinking about some Hunter Wellies. Seems like I'm payin' for a name, seein' as now they aren't even made in the UK anymore. They're still good boots, I know. Just want to shop around.

Marc Jacobs Rainboots from the West Village store. Best $10 I've ever spent (got them on sale, usually around $30).

2 pairs of doc martens completely waterproofed with snoseal beeswax. My vote's for waterproofed leather boots. If not, then something like hunter wellingtons would probably be fine, though I don't like the way they make my legs look...

I've heard Hunter boots are really nice but in my opinion there's really no kind of rain boots worth $150. Although they may last longer, I still think it's better to go cheaper. You never know, some of the cheapest brands still last the longest it just depends. One place you can get rain boots at a very affordable price is abatix.com. They have a variety of sizes. Here's a link to one: ["http://www.abatix.com/default.aspx?page=item+detail&itemcode=RCRPBP120-7&catlist=546" Boot, PVC, Plain Toe, 16", Size 7]
