Great boots and the angle of the galoshed balmoral line is nicely sloped

Here are a few photos from Cliff of the beginning stages of my boots. They are based off the discontinued John Lobb Brooklands in dark brown.

A very nicely executed balmoral oxford with brogueing along the galosh line

I liked how the brogueing along the topline and facings are the same size as on the apron and the galosh line.

Gaziano & Girling have their comparable Warwick model but have opted for the brogueing along the facings and the topline to be smaller in size than the galosh line...to each his own http://www.gazianogirling.com/warwick.html

Gorgeous.

I'm also interested in fit. How did you size and how do you like it?

The shoes fit as well as any other shoe I have. I guess that's just luck. I am really happy with them and I've asked Cliff to do another.

Cliff was helpful in determining my size, and the advice given earlier in the thread was also useful. These are Cliff's own lasts, however they do fit similar to some others.

How did you establish your last? in person or did you send traces of your foot and provide certain measurements for your instep?

FNB, Cliff's lasts are SIMILAR to EG's 202 and 888 lasts. They are NOT based on EG's lasts, they just have a similar shape, and are slightly wider in the toe. This is intended as a helpful guide only.

I'm sure there are other lasts which can be used as a comparison, however EG is available in many places in the world. Whatever you do, DON'T say that they are the same as EG's lasts, as it isn't true.

I believe the answer is yes. As Cliff only provides the EG last as an example of fit (they are not the same as EG lasts) your best bet would be to email Cliff direct.
