How much do you pay for your haircut (tip excluded)?

I used to go to the salon at the mall. Cost was $40 excluding tip. Stylist was brilliant. Knew how to cut baby fine hair (in a way that my hair did not end up as a frizzball). I've had to trade down to Supercuts ($15 per haircut) and it looks like shite.

If I have to endure bad haircuts for the sake of frugality, I'm going to buzz cut my own damn hair.

I just look for a barber pole, and that the guy is preferably been cutting hair for atleast 10-12 years.

my grandfather was a barber/beautician for 30+ years so I didn't pay for a haircut til high school.

any barber can give me a decent haircut

3 on the sides, 4 on top ... trim up my bangs and let me see the back

POW... 8-15 dollars later I am done.

If they have girlie magazines +++

Does that include your ****** waxing? btw I usually get it for $25, plus $4-5 tip. I used to go to a barber that raised their price from $11 to $14 over the years, but then I got a job that ends at 5pm which is when they, and pretty much every other barbershop around here closes. So it's either a "salon" or a McHaircut place ala supercuts.

I got a haircut today and paid $50. My usual girl is out of commission for a few months but I pay her $35 and she works out of her aparmtent.

In the summer I often clip it myself - #2 or #3. I've gotten butchered at barbershops one too many times - it's worth paying a little more to have a girl do it. Bonus points if she's hot.

~ $20 + tip. That way my wife can spend a day's salary on her monthly hair appointment.

$30 to $35. The guy who cuts my hair is incredibly meticulous and does a great job. It's more than I used to pay but it's definitely worth it to me. I don't think I'd pay much more than that, though.

The new barber that I go to charges $15, so it's usually $18-20 after tips. He makes my hair look good, in a manly kinda way. I used to go to a lady at a salon who charged $22 for it. Add tips and that became at least $25. My haircut was ******* aweful.

So, the price of the haircut is not correlated to how your hair will look after its' done.
