I am looking for some lightweight, not terribly expensive, trousers for wear on my honeymoon in the carribean in June. Found these on eBay, but for that low a price, what's the quality? I know you get what you pay for, but how often am I going to wear silk pants north of the Mason-Dixon? Thanks guys, I've come a long way with your help.

While they are probably fine for the price, I wonder if you might not be better off going with a linen or light cotton for the Carribean in June. I have picked up perfectly usable linen blends for less than $50 on ebay.

Get some of the lightweight chinos from J. Crew. They are on sale for $45 right now, I think. Some nice spring/summer colors too. Also, keep in mind that shorts will be de rigeur where you are honeymooning, even in the nicer restaurants (where outdoor seating will be popular).

I'd seriously just go with some summer weight cotton pants in light colors. It'll look much better -- and more age appropriate -- than some cheesy "silk" or cheap linen pants. You should always stay away from pants that include "Boca" in the name, as well. You'll get more use out of a pair of flat front J. Crew summer weight chinos than you will with anything like Boca Classic.

Living in Boca Raton, I am inclined to agree

Probably made in the same Indonesian factory that the $130 Tommy Bahama pants are produced for less than $2 per trouser.

Maybe -- but I guarantee you the cut and the fabric will be superior on the Tommy Bahama. Cheap silk is just about the worst natural fabric you can buy.
