I'm cheating slightly, because it didn't technically happen today but...

-Where I work this is this German girl who comes in. She speaks English very well but she's just so polite, hesitant, and smiles so much that I can't help but smile back. I think, good customers in general make me smile.

+1. I appreciate the people who are polite to my coworkers and myself for that matter.

I thoroughly enjoy the Great Back Doors thread.

I saw a little girl stamping on a puddle of water, over and over, at the annoyance of her mother. That made me smile.

Listening to the song "Miracle to me" and all the memories it evokes of the girl I admire.

You might find this funny or slightly flamboyant, but a girl came up to me and said "you're beautiful". I found it surprising... Im straight but it was rather outside of the typical girl's line of the day.

This really hot chick at LAX - skinny, Asian, cute, maybe around 21. Big-ass **** in a tight tank top too.

I slept in this morning, and the dogs didn't wake me at 3 a.m. as they tend to do.

The little one was out of bed before I went upstairs to rouse him - normally I have to physically dislodge him out from under the covers. He was already picking out clothes.

I left the house late for work, but traffic was quick and I was at work early.

It hit fourteen degrees in Tallahassee today, so I got to wear this charcoal cashmere overcoat that my grandad had made for him in Tokyo in the fifties. It has his name embroidered on the interior and it's just a cool reminder of what a great guy he was.

No kidding, I wore my grandfather's cashmere sportcoat over a sweater this morning. Don't really need it at the office, but hey - it's not loitering on the hanger.
