I was sitting here and I realized I am a college kid on styleforum.net, but I feel like an adult because I interact with younger and older guys on the website. Anyway, what careers are you guys in or wat d you do for a living?

Well, you're not alone in that there are many college kids on SF. In fact, they represent a significant portion of the readership. I admit that I am a little troubled by your feeling that interacting with any group of people on a website would instill a feeling of adulthood -- any aspect of it is so much more than that. The Web has no standard of responsibility -- the hallmark of adulthood -- so it is an incredibly poor barometer. To answer your question: I think of physical solutions to problems that people have (whether they know it or not), then I design those solutions and politely request other people to make them for me. Then I try this thing to see if it solves the problem. If yes, I then try and see how much I can abuse this thing (in very particular ways) until it breaks. If it meets the many guidelines that exist for other things sort of like it as well as my own guidelines, some other people make lots more and try to sell it to make my employer money. Pretty good gig all in all, and breaking things can really enliven a morning. ~ H

I'm also pretty interested in seeing what you guys do for a living. I don't have a career yet, but I'm in school for film...

I don't do dick. I used to work in sales and management, but I quit that ****. It was probably a bad idea with the economy the way it is. I'm currently trying to run a online store that sells dildos, but I don't know how the hell I'm going to get this **** up and running. It's hard being a 1 man band. You got nobody to tell you to get back to work or that your lunch break is over.

I'm going to be heading to some film school after I finish my general credits. What school are you going to?

I'm at San Diego State University right now. It's not NYU or USC, but we are probably the second tier for film, and still VERY credible for television.

Sorry but that's weird. When I was in school, I knew it was very, very different between talking with people online and actually physically interacting with them.
