So I decided to go for the Cairo MTM and it came out pretty good - probably 85% perfect, which is really not acceptable for bespoke, but then at just under $100, I can hardly complain. I suppose I should consider it a lesson in caveat emptor.

Things that came out right: Well, first of all, everything I asked for, which is impressive considering the state of my Arabic. Very nice peak lapels, with a good roll. Hand-canvassed. Working buttonholes with decent stitching. Perfectly fitting trousers. Perfect fit through the chest and shoulders. Handmade from the collar to the hem, and feels like it will last a million years. Nice, English charcoal 100s wool with a subtle pinstripe. Things not perfect: Feels a little off around the belly area. It's weird - one moment it looks fine and then I look in the mirror and it seems off. I've taken it back once. Maybe I will do so again, if there is room for more alteration. Is it harder to alter shoulders or waistline? Sleeves a tad long. But as long as I wear FC's it's okay, and since I almost always do, I'm not complaining. In summary, I feel a little bad taking it back for yet ANOTHER correction after I told him it was fine last time, but for some reason what looks and feels correct in the shop starts to look a little odd by the time I get home. Edit: Seeing these pics in toto I really ******* need to shave...

One issue from the photos is that the jacket sleeve is awfully wrinkled. I will assume it is from the poses and not the cut.

Yeah, I'll take some better pics tomorrow. What's the best "stance" for judging cut and fit...?

It looks like it's caught on the shirt sleeve, or at least I hope so.

Yeah, if not that's one jacked up sleeve. Looks decent otherwise.

The sleeves look very weird, but that's probably on account of your cowboy poses. It would be easier to tell if your hands were just at your side.

From these pictures, the jacket look really big on you (chest and waist). It also looks a bit long

+1 on the suit looking too big for you.

It looks significantly better now.

But something about the lapels' shape and overlap or the buttoning point still looks a trifle odd; not quite sure what it is I'm picking. I will let the more knowledgeable try to define this further.

But much better than the last set of pics!
