You sized down too much. I'm 31 in everything, for my Petit Standards I sized down 2 and it's been a perfect fit for a year now. If possible, get yourself a size 29. Yup, mostly to the office and when im out running errands. I guess it's an age thing...seems much easier to break in jeans when you're 18 than when you're 30.- Fahrenheit

I'm a bit lost on when's the right time to do a first wash (except for when they stink like hell..) ^ 18 months for regular wear. (I don't bike or climb trees, etc) They don't stink but I'm getting tired of the dark indigo. Any thoughts from people who are past their first wash?- Fahrenheit

+1 excellent observation. How do I get my true waist measurement? Measure the circumference at the belly button level. Yeah, I'm going to have to disagree with this. the tapered pair, in that photo, stacks better, makes you look longer, and is generally more flattering. I don't see the top-heavy in that picture, and actually think, fwiw, that the tapered pair is far more "masculine," for whatever the hell that's...- Fahrenheit

Fahrenheit, The NC actually have a small flair at the leg opening. The PS or NS would be better if you don't want a flair From what I've seen, NS had a bigger flare than NC.- Fahrenheit
