    It is true in that some tailors have house styles and do not like to deviate from them. My dry cleaner who I take hems to thought I was crazy for asking for 2" cuffs not 1.5" haha. Imagine me trying to explain Spalla Camicia from my Kiton jacket haha!

    proper changes through time. Same as suit gorges, shirt collars, and other things. There is I think a sweet spot where if you never change a thing, you will at least be within the sphere of contemporary thinking.

    I have a green Tweed coat that I pretty much lived in this winter and got compliments all the time. It really is the fit. It's a Michael Bastian made by Cucinelli that fits me like a glove. Yes, I do try to purposely match it with an outfit leaning towards modern to even things out.

    In general I would say their build quality and fabrics are not quite terrible, but fit and general fashion sense CAN be quite nice. If you can find a regular line shirt you like the fabric, or find a "Select" line it could be a nice machine made shirt.
