    DB Tuxedo Question

You should not wear a vest with a DB tuxedo. If you won't be opening your jacket or taking it off, why have the extra layer of clothes anyway. If anything, I would just wear a cummberbund.

Question re: 4 in hand tie with tuxedo

I am not a fan of a tux with a 4-in-hand tie, looks to cheesy to me. That said, if you are going to where one, definitely go with a notch lapel. These ties do not work with a peak lapel.

    Tuxedo Question

I am not quite sure what you are asking.....do you mean what would you rather have a "retail" 100% wool notch tuxedo, or a "rental" 100% wool peak tuxedo? If this is the case, I would definitely go with the better quality garment. I think style wise the peak of course would...

    Sources for Cheap (used) Tuxedos

I know of a website www.CheapTux.com that sells brand new tuxedos extremely cheap. Not sure how they do it, but they offer a tuxedo and all accessories (including free shipping) all for $139.95. I checked my local tux shop here in New York, and it was about the same price to rent one.
