eBay seller sells shirt that doesn't measure as stated...do I have a case?

caveat emptor http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caveat_emptor If it is something you can live with, take the loss, and next time be sure to research a sellers history and comments & rating. Sorry if my words are of little comfort. +1... however...."The only exception was if the seller actively...

    My Custom Built Tie-Rack [Photos]

The devotion to your tie storage (and obvious love of your ties) is to be commended . I would recommend trying to build a smaller scaled down version that could fit into the wardrobe and you could be on to something!

    Ebay Etiquette

I am in the "I hate ebay" camp. Having said that.. I think people are mistaken about shipping times for high volume sellers. Those are the people who have been selling long enough that they have a system down for getting stuff out quickly: whether it is daily USPS pickups or frequent trips to...

Dark Chocolate Brown Tie With a Black Suit?

Hey, Really quick stupid question.... Can one wear a dark brown tie with a black suit? If so, how? Thanks I think you can make it work if you have the right tie. Found this pic which looked ok? You could always go with a white suit/brown tie combo??

    Australians, Reveal yourselves

^^^^ They probably identify with New Zealand - the kiwis are to Australia what Canada is to the States - the marsupialed little brother.

    Australians, Reveal yourselves

The South Africa Pietersen not there to help the Poms out for the rest of the series. Time to strike. If only Mitch can learn to bowl on the stumps and not 10 feet outside off. Or as long as when catches are dropped .... the umps go to the third umpire! That might help too!

NEWBIES - How To Get The Best Advice & Answers To Your Questions

I think it's a great idea. Not only can the newbies see the best way to structure their questions but it would probably mean they are more likely to get better responses. There are often so many questions/opinions put out there hoping to get a serious response from members but it ends up in a...

    French Cuff Shirt At Work

I don't want to start a new thread, but what about when going out? Do FCs look too "business-like"? I think they're great for going out in the right setting. I.e a nice restaurant, a formal dinner/function, day at the races, etc. They will probably look a little bit OTT for anything less than...

    French Cuff Shirt At Work

I heard you're not supposed to wear French Cuffs to an interview because it's douchey. What do yo u think? It's probably a case of the position that you're applying for rather than whether it's appropraite across the board. One of the other members within this thread posted that they work in...

    French Cuff Shirt At Work

While I expected that there would be a fairly large number of SF members that do wear FC shirts to work, I am actually suprised that the poll is showing such a large number that wear them every day. I suppose the slight annoyance of the cuffs & cufflinks getting in the way at the desk is not...

    French Cuff Shirt At Work

I was on 'another' forum the other day and the topic was raised as to how many men wear French cuff shirts to their workplace. In Australia, more and more men are wearing French cuff shirts in the workplace and they are no longer kept strictly for formalwear. I have a desk job and often find...

    Ties, on the windscreen ?

Vulnerable, sometimes my tie I realise, is,. Such an, exposed and, fragile silk, piece. However, on a windscreen never have, I seen one. Confused, this, statement makes me. I'm not normally a fan of taking the piss..... but to quote from Seinfeld.... that's 'Gold Jerry'

    The White Shirt Poll

I would wear a white based shirt about 90% of the time but many of my white shirts will have a self stripe or fine pin stripe, etc through them. I simply find that they will go with just about any suit/tie combination so it makes sense to have more of them.

How many shirts do you own?

My shoe collection is actually pretty sane by SF standards.. I have about 50 pairs of dress shoes, and probably something like 25 pairs of casual shoes (excluding running shoes).. I probably cycle 4 or 5 shirts per quarter (i.e. donate and replace with new), so I have held pretty close to 75 or...

Pictorial: Ties you don't wear...but won't give up! Know what I mean?

What can I say.... I have nothing that even comes close to those little beauties! I'm not very sentimental at all.... I love to throw out the old clothes to make room for the new clothes. Especially liked the lining on the D&G ties. That last Moschino is certainly very 'special'.

How many shirts do you own?

Dress shirts? Probably 75 to 80 or so.. I have pics somewhere that I posted in one of those "give me ideas for my closet" threads.. Found em' Great job.... that even puts my wife's collection of clothing to shame! Hate to see your shoe collection (although I can already see a few in the...

is this tie suitable for interview?

Can't see the tie colour too clearly as it looks quite dark. Nonetheless, the design certainly looks conservative enough without being boring. From what I can tell, it looks like a winner! Good luck with the interview.
