The Tailors' Thread: Fit Feedback and Alteration Suggestions

What do you guys think of the fit on this jacket? I'm particularly wondering about the shoulders. I feel like they are ever so slightly too large. I am happy with the fit overall, but this little detail is bugging me. That, and the fact that I had a few very good weeks since buying the suit that...

this is intense. to be honest, i never really paid any attention to this detail. but indeed, there is an excess of space between the lapels and my chest. on the other hand, it fits perfectly at the waist. i suppose this is a signal to start hitting the gym a little harder.

indeed, i was leaning, and probably had my suspenders on a bit tightly for pants with so little break.

What do you guys think of this fit, along with the overall outfit? I ask in light of the fact that this tux will probably be taken out once or twice a year for black-tie fundraisers. I feel like the shirtsleeves are a bit too long, and could be taken back a bit. Other than that, I feel pretty...

Returned both suits -- got a confirmation email and UPS tracking info shows they were both delivered to the New Jersey warehouse. However, Suitsupply seems to have lost the blue one. I have the name of the guy who signed for it, but it appears to have somehow been mislaid, and I am yet to get my...

Well, I decided to try their customer service again -- the first contact, via phone, yielded a guy who basically said, "Huh, that's weird. Maybe just return it?" But the second contact, via the online chat, yielded the answer: because they didn't have a 38S in gray available in the US, they sent...

Ask A Question, Get An Answer... - Post All Quick Questions Here (Classic menswear)

I've got a question, specifically about suitsupply. I just ordered and received two Napolis, one in "plain gray" (blue line) and one in navy (purple line). They are both in 38S, and both have the correct tags, both sewn-in and on the button. The problem is, the two suits are clearly different...

    Introduce yourself.

I've come here a number of times for excellent advice. I'm not super into fashion, but, being in my mid-30s, it would be nice to know how to look good when necessary.

    Suitsupply NYC

So, I just got two suitsupply suits in the mail. One is a plain gray Napoli, blue line, in 38S. The other is a navy Napoli, purple line, also in 38S. With the navy suit, the jacket is simply too short for me, with the sleeves about an inch up from where they should be, and the jacket, too. The...
