I'm surprised there isn't more discussion about the Hedi interview posted a page back. It's very rare that he gives insight and access to his thought process. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Hearing the reasoning behind the reformation and non-cenceptual design style of the brand really gave me a...

@slann01 nice pickups! I've been trying to catch that belt on sale for a minute now but figured it was hopeless considering it's part of the permanent collection. Girls in SLP is a very awesome sight. I was in Japan the other week and walked past a lady in head to toe SLP. Had a feeling that...

Actually decided to wash em yesterday after I've had them for a year after catching up in this thread. They're not my everydays, but definitely have some solid miles on them.

So, may be a asinine question, but I figure I'll throw it out anyway. Looks like crotch is at the very early stages of tearing. Any preventive measures (ex: tailor?) that you guys have done to preserve the longevity of the denim and avoid the crotch blowout? Just live it out like a rock star?!

Sorry, should have included it in the previous post. The spot downtown is Pork Pie Hatters http://www.yelp.com/biz/pork-pie-hatters-new-york http://www.jjhatcenter.com/pages/pork-pie-new

It's a beautiful hat but obviously a huge markup because of the name. I've had custom hats made for me in Paris where I've met with the designer for $250. I frequent a hat store in New York that's been in business since the early 1900s and the owner put me on a lot knowledge. He show me this...

^^Agreed. Had similiar experience. Faubourg had a ton of selection and the staff couldn't have been friendlier. Avenue Montaigne wasn't as welcoming and didn't seem to know what they were talking about (from my limited interaction)

Wyatts Jodhpur The second time around I made sure he cut off the Goodyear label on the lower half. From the side, if I hadn't told you they were applied, you wouldn't notice.

Haven't had a chance to drop by a boutique to check out this season yet, but wow, Santiags look great on feet. I was thinking of picking up a pair of tan Wyatts for an everyday, but now considering these. The heel is super sleek.

The suit would have to be tailored slim as the boots really don't look good with any other fit.

The latest Wyatt releases weren't altered for stye purposes. SLP/Kering felt like getting greedy and cutting costs. I have a pair of Wyatts from a few seasons ago and the zipper they have on them now is something you could find at Target. The added seam is to cut back on fabric. It baffles me...

Midtown - Great. Helpful London - Great. That British charm. Paris (Avenue Montaigne) - didn't know their ****/no greeting. Paris (Rue de Faubourg) - extremely helpful and polite. The most inconsistent is definitely SoHo. Anybody catch that young blonde girl, early 20s? Always looks...

Personally, I'd tailor it. Goes with the clean SLP aesthetic.

Yeah I know. I wouldn't be surprised if it was produced in the same factory as other luxury brands, just differing with the SLP stamp. I was just disappointed to see it give so early when I make it a point to take care of my stuff.

Ahh, thanks for the info! Learn something new everyday. After dropping $400+ on a wallet, it makes me feel a little better that I'm not the only one lol. I'll take it into one of the NY boutiques to see if they do re-glazing. It's not too bad, but I'd rather amend it early rather than it turn...
