Edward Green Appreciation: Pictures, Info, and Where to Buy

Congratulations! I hope you enjoy them. I’m also the owner of a sentimental pair of Edward Green’s, with some money that was gifted to me before my mum died I bought a pair of Dovers. I’ve had them for 5 years and I’ve probably worn them twice since then. I’ve polished them about 50 times that!!

HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part IV (starting May 2014)

James Maddison was on loan at Aberdeen a few years ago and scored a perfect free kick in the dying moment of a game against Rangers. After this, I don’t think he will ever have to pay for a beer in the city again!!

pretty good but you can see the pull on the button. Another couple of inches in the body would definitely be more functional. I think he’d struggle to tie his shoelaces with that jacket on

@Sreezy36 I know exactly what you mean. Bigger guys want different things from a suit. If you have a perfect physique then you want to maintain those ratios, if you don’t then you want the suit to build up where you’re lacking and hide where you have too much. I’d be the same as you, I’d want to...

how do you decide what you’re going to wear? With that level of choice it must be very difficult or do you find yourself with a lot of shoes gathering dust?

CM combinations and silhouettes constructive improvement thread

The only thing I’d comment on would be that to my eye, the trouser length could do with being 1/2” longer and possibly slightly wider

Gen Z "Zoomers" and Classic Menswear

Sleeve length is about the only thing I seem to be pretty standard at 😀 I do appreciate you taking the time to post advice, where I live there isn’t really a thrifting scene so I have a number of saved eBay searches to try and pick up some options. I have tried to keep on top of the classifieds...

Gen Z "Zoomers" and Classic Menswear

Thanks for the reply. I’ve tried to pick things up in the past but I’m something of an irregular shape, I’ve had limited success thrifting. I’m getting ready to go down the Proper Cloth route

Gen Z "Zoomers" and Classic Menswear

I’m afraid I’m not in your target demographic for the opening statements but will offer my view regardless. I’m a 41 year old guy and classic menswear is an interest of mine rather than a lifestyle I live. I appreciate seeing how other people have taken the time, consideration and the investment...

Edward Green Appreciation: Pictures, Info, and Where to Buy

It’s true that it’s not a good metric to use, on average there’s a miles worth of walking on pavement and a working day in the office. I drive to the office but typically wear other sneakers for the drive. I will post some pictures when I get a chance, struggling with illness right now

Edward Green Appreciation: Pictures, Info, and Where to Buy

I wish my Dainite lasted like that, I replaced the leather sole on my Galway's with Dainite and had them serviced by EG to be more in keeping with the requirements I had for the boots. I've worn them maybe 40 or 50 times since then and there's obvious wear to the soles

    Double Breasted Style.

I don't think the sleeve heads are the main problem more of a symptom, the skin tight sleeves mean they have to be like that. If the sleeve had more volume I don't think this would be nearly as eye-catching an issue

    Cool vs Stylish

Ok, here's a genuine question about me personally then. I believe that cool has to be authentic, that it can't be manufactured. Can I be cool? I'm uncomfortable with pictures of myself and only after editing a picture can I get to a stage where I feel comfortable with it. By definition, that...

    Cool vs Stylish

I kind of agree with this but you have to give it some more context. What is meant by conformity? In our context then that's likely to be conformity with traditional "rules" of stylish dressing. But if your social group is one that wholesale embraces non-conformity does that make a person that...
