Allen Edmonds Appreciation Thread - reviews, pictures, sizing, etc...

I picked up a pair of Bayfields in a 9.5 E. Hopefully they fit, I'm about a 10D in Strands, but most of that is for width. I can get away with a 9.0 -> 10.0 depending on the width.

Allen Edmonds Dalton - shell cordovan in walnut

MWSH, I agree completely. Because Allen Edmonds is now the entry level "nice shoes" maker instead of many in the class, they get grouped together with all other "expensive shoes." Essentially anything you can't buy for under $200 at a Macys. That's really unfair. AEs offer a much higher...

An observation about the changes in dress

I think most of these people are changing on the way to the office. I don't bother unless it's snow, then I'll wear snow boots with whatever and just deal with changing at the office. Crockett & Jones for Ralph Lauren Cordovan (Marlow, Darlton, Gifford, Garran, Lindrick, McCallum, Rh

Yep. If the shipping wasn't so high I would have gone $400 no problem, I just sold a bunch of stuff specifically to buy these. Now I have $400 toward something else though :)

    Dessert shoes, are they comfortable?

Ugh, I hate that last. I prefer them in wheat too.

Crockett & Jones for Ralph Lauren Cordovan (Marlow, Darlton, Gifford, Garran, Lindrick, McCallum, Rh

I probably would have gone the extra $10 too, but I had to be away from my desk for a meeting. Oh well. If anyone wants to move a 10D or possibly a 10.5 D US in the PTB let me know :)

Crockett & Jones for Ralph Lauren Cordovan (Marlow, Darlton, Gifford, Garran, Lindrick, McCallum, Rh

Welp, I just lost the only pair on the internet in my size on ebay. Sigh. Which one of you jerks outbid me?

    Dessert shoes, are they comfortable?

    They're delicious.

Crockett & Jones for Ralph Lauren Cordovan (Marlow, Darlton, Gifford, Garran, Lindrick, McCallum, Rh

I'm not sure I've ever wanted a pair of shoes as much as those PTBs. This is the worst time of the year to be spending that kind of money.

Would you say they are better/worse/the same as TheTieBar?
