I always size to fit my thighs. This leaves a loose waist and I usually wear a belt. On these I'm kinda letting em sit real low. Compared to other pairs in the same size I find the ducks have a little more give...a tad looser.... but this could just be the lighter weight (I think 10oz) fooling...- surly19
