    Sheets on a budget.

I'm a relatively broke guy that currently trying to find some decent sheets. I'll be living in a rather humid climate this summer, so my decision is based heavily on that. My previous experience in buying sheets is simply finding the cheapest. everything else was secondary. My budget is 150 all...

    Matching Golds/Silvers/Metals

I'm having a hard time deciding on the materials for my accessories. I"m not a gold guy. I don't mind it, I just find it somewhat flashy, especially for my personality. However, of the two pieces of jewellery I own, both are gold. One is my University class ring. I can't replace that, simply...

    First Edition Books

Does anyone collect them, or is willing to spend the extra dough on getting one when the opportunity arises? I've just been curious about that type of collecting for awhile now, and would love to hear peoples thoughts on it.

    Sleek lace up boots

I'm stuck. I've been trying to find an affordable lace-up boot that I can pair with either jeans or a suit once the fall/winter weather hits. However, I'm having no luck. The closest thing I can find as of yet would be the AE Bayfield, but the toe box detracts from any dress up potential. Am I...

Best (affordable) option for narrow shoulders.

I'm in fairly decent shape. I've got about an 8 inch drop, and some decent muscle on me. However, my shoulders are quite narrow. A 40 suit fits me well in the chest, but it takes a 38 or lower to have my shoulder fit properly. A mtm would be great, but currently out of my price range. Any ideas...

    Matches

This is perhaps a silly question... but where can I get decent matches? I was working on a construction site recently, and someone found a box of matches from the 60s. These were nice, strike anywhere matches, with full heavy real-wood stems. I smoke occasionally, and I usually use matches, and...

Blacksmith.... what do they do these days?

Just wondering. I have a friend who's taking a couple courses in it, he seems to really enjoy it. But... how do blacksmiths make any money these days? I would assume that most business comes in the form of non-necessity projects... like creating "home-forged" tools and stuff that are only viewed...

Am I looking at MBA's the wrong way?

I guess it's something I'm wondering about lately. I have current mindset to apply to an MBA program in 3-5 years, (When I'm 28-ish) I'm fairly certain I'll be accepted to a top 5, though I'm aiming for LBS. (International work is by far my preferred choice, I doubt I'll stick around North...

    China; electronic crack down.

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/03/22/wo...hina.html?_r=4 By C/E standards I'm not very knowledgeable on China's policies. (Having not studied or even been there). Anyone shed some light on how real this type of thing is? Any experience or thoughts on it?

    Official MLS Thread.

Not sure if there is one yet, if so, let this one die. Embarrassing show by Toronto FC tonight, though it was basically a new team. I'm hoping they get there act together, as I'd love to see them in the playoffs. (As a Toronto Maple Leafs fan, I'm used to this talk....)

    Packing a Trench-Coat

I will soon be going on a trip for several weeks, and as spring approaches, I feel I'll need rain gear. I have a Burberry trench I'd quite like to bring, but very limited space. I find after some time in a packed container it tends to wrinkle badly. As well, there's always the possibility of...

    Buffy and Angel

Man, Angel just came to Netflix Canada, so I've been spending my off-time watching it. Damn those were amazing shows. Was not a huge fan of how either ended (both became bigger than I felt what they could handle, at least one of them got a real ending). So dissapointed in how Angel was cancelled...

    Denim Jacket Question

I'm looking at picking up a denim jacket in the coming weeks, but frankly, I have little experience with them. I'll probably stick to Levi, (unless I find a rag & bone or nudie I like), but I find them somewhat boxy. Does anyone have any experience getting denim jackets tailored? I expect it's...

    Remakes: Sometimes I wonder...

Now, let's skip past the whole business rational behind remakes, sequels, reboots, etc. Financially, they're extremely sound rationally.... and in fact the closest thing to a "safe bet" as one can get in Hollywood. But every now and then I feel somewhat.... angry... at them. I just read that...

    Shipping beer to Australia (Cost?)

I have a friend in Australia currently, and he has a birthday coming up. I was thinking about sending him a 12 pack of our local brew (can't find an international online dealer for it, and it's not in Australia anywhere). Legalities of shipping beer aside (I'll just mark it as Barbecue sauce...

    Polar Bear Dip

Just had my annual polar bear dip with a group of friends today. Warmer than most years, only -17 C. Anyone else do them?
