My High Street Suit Hunting Experience in London (M&S, Austin Reed, TM Lewin, BB, CT)

I was in the market of a new suit so I went to Regent street (London) and tried on many suits from the big british high street suit companies. M&S, Austin Reed, TM Lewin, BB, CT. I have broad shoulders and Asian athletic muscular build so I always have the shoulder roll problem and I require a...

    Charles Tyrwhitt Reviews and Fitting

If you are fit and have board shoulders, their slim fit suits are worth trying. The material feels nice, has floating canvass, and working buttons.

    Ask me about Eyewear!

Any suggestion on similar glasses such as these but with only subtle branding on the side? My head suite these frames but those have been discontinued and I would like some fresher frame choices. Less than £200 for the frame would be ideal.

much, much better on the brooks brothers. There is too much to tailor on the CT, its not worth it.

    Charles Tyrwhitt Reviews and Fitting

I just got a couple of shirts from Banana Republic. I got a Small but there is also Extra Small. Get their Tailored slim fit and its pretty darn slim. I had to loose a couple of pounds to fit into it without my belly sticking out. Perhaps try their extra small size. It might suit you.

    Charles Tyrwhitt Reviews and Fitting

Your frame looks slim and in my opinion, this shirt doesn't fit you well. You trousers are slim enough which makes your upper half look out of balance with that shirt on. I am assuming you already got the extra slim cut from CT?

    The Hong Kong Tailors Thread

Many thanks for this. Good to know a few places that I can trust in Hong Kong. Cheers.

    The Hong Kong Tailors Thread

Thanks for that. I won't have trouble finding it now with those details. I'll need the suit jacket shortened from the shoulders. In UK, it costs £18 to shorten suit jacket from the bottom or £30 to shorten from the shoulders. How does those prices compare to alteration costs in HK?

    The Hong Kong Tailors Thread

Please could you share the location details of your recommendation as well? I live near that area but being new to HK, I don't know anything about the best places to go for things in HK yet. Any cobbler recommendation in that area, by any chance? In UK, alterations to shorten the suit...

    The Hong Kong Tailors Thread

I'm sorry but I'm new to Hong Kong and I tried to find 87 Hollywood Rd, Central on Google map and came up with the streetview. Is Tin Lun Alterations where "Cais Gallery" on the google map...

Nudie Organic Jeans SHRUNK so much after cold wash its unwearable now?

Thanks, I will try and break them in but I will have to do so by wearing them without closing the two top buttons. Hopefully will be able to close them eventually... My other jeans (APC and Acne) were bought around the same time as these Nudies and they have always fit tighter than the Nudies...

Nudie Organic Jeans SHRUNK so much after cold wash its unwearable now?

I bought a pair of Nudie Average Joe Organic Jeans 9 months ago. I wore it every other day until it fits me quite well (not baggy and not tight) but I couldn't stand the smell anymore so I machine washed them in cool water only without any detergent. After the wash, it shrunk soo much that I...

A.P.C. The official thread for APC denim sizing and other questions.

I bought a pair of nudies and apc. And I find it takes longer to break APC in, I've been wearing them for more than a month and it still needs more work. Whereas, the Nudies have been nice and comfortable after 2 weeks.

    Clarks Desert Boots

I bought my DB about a year ago. Sized down 0.5 and treated it with mink oil. It made the boots darker which I like but it also made the leather very very soft. I can't imagine how the vamp would look like if I didn't use a shoe tree after every wear. And its slippery on wet pavements too and...
