Is the Loro Piana Storm System really that effective?

It's poly/cotton outer. I typically keep my nice stuff at home during a rain/snowstorm so wanted to make sure the jacket wouldn't get ruined over time if moisture got into the face. Thanks for your input!

Is the Loro Piana Storm System really that effective?

Bumping this old thread as it's somewhat relevant question: Those of you who have this system, does it easily bead/repel water? I just purchased a LPSS and when I drip water onto the coat, it does seem to bead but leaves some of the water in the fabric. I know the fabric itself isn't nylon so...

Winter jacket - opinions wanted (pics included!)

Thanks, guys. I'll end up keeping the first and third one. First is a CG Chateau which fits me pretty well. Should work well when we're deep in winter.

Winter jacket - opinions wanted (pics included!)

Seems like most people I'm asking prefer the slate jacket over the navy jacket. As for the tonal casual jacket, it's pretty polarizing. Some of the style forward women I've shown loved it, while some others don't prefer it.

Winter jacket - opinions wanted (pics included!)

Hey guys, Was looking for some help/opinions from the SF crew on what you think of these three jackets. The first two are the same jacket, one is slate, one is navy, and the third is more of a casual jacket. My question basically is, what do you think of the first two? And which color do...

    The Hong Kong Tailors Thread

Is $699 full canvas for the same VBC 110-120? If so, then the price is basically the same, so why not go into the local store first and see how you like the product? Also, there should be enough reviews online.

    The Hong Kong Tailors Thread

Lol...so I didn't post my experience but I had started off like many here and had to read through the whole thread to get a better understanding of where to get the suit done. In the end, I basically used the one post that a member had posted pricing on mid-tier tailors, found it was similar to...

    The Hong Kong Tailors Thread

I meant bespoke shirts specifically. Jantzen also advertizes "easy care" fabrics which if I understand correctly, is different than 100% iron free. Easy care I think you still need to iron, just not as long as a regular cotton shirt. Please do post how it turns out!

    The Hong Kong Tailors Thread

Has anyone found a tailor that has 100% iron-free fabrics available for shirts? Most seem to use easy-care but I’m looking for something similar to the Charles Tyrwhitt fabrics I have…after washing and drying, they might require a quick touch up but for the most part are ready to wear without...

    The Hong Kong Tailors Thread

Thanks, guys. I’ll be going after CNY. I’ll get the tailor’s reco on what would be a step up in material compared to what I have. For my first bespoke, trying to keep it reasonable like many others starting out, so I’m hoping around $500-600 will be good. In terms of the tailors I...

    The Hong Kong Tailors Thread

Hi, guys. First off, what a great topic...I ended up reading through the whole thread in the last 3 days and I went from not knowing where to start, to a pretty good idea of where I want to go. My first search on the internet told me to go to Sam's, which judging by this thread, is a pretty...
