Dried shoe vax
Got some tins of Burgol vax, equivalent to pate de luxe. Issue is it's super dry, so when I run my finger or a cloth it just breaks apart and clumps up. I bought them all at the same time, oddly enough one of them is still buttery smooth and very soft whereas the other ones are hockey pucks...- Nomies

It certainly is fully canvassed, it’s a half lined jacket so I can easily peek inside. A line of tape you say? Then I really don’t understand why they would call this lapel 3r2,5 when it’s a 3r2, if it’s as easy as tape. Could be that 2 of the 4 layers are fused and the glue has bubbled up...- Nomies

If you're walking around in jeans then Frank Clegg or Carl Friedrik is a no, too formal. A tote is a no-go for me personally, looks too female...- Nomies

But how can that be on a supposed full canvas SuitSupply jacket that I picked up from the store today. It has never been worn other than testing. They tried to re-press the lapel because I wanted an earlier break, could they have somehow fucked it up with steam?- Nomies

This is good advice and I did this with SuitSupply. It is literally called 3r2.5 in their MTM program. I suppose they were just too eager to sell a jacket. Alright, thanks for confirming that you cannot reshape a lapel. The jacket I made was in a green hopsack, so I intentionally went to the fitting meeting with another hopsack jacket to compare it as closely as possible, since it isn't fair to compare a stiffer fresco lapel to a super soft...- Nomies

See the picture I posted above. That is an RTW jacket that I also own. Both have around 11,5cm lapel width, but as you see there's a huge difference with the breast pocket. What I mean with balance is the overall proportion. I have fairly long legs, which looks even longer with high rise pants...- Nomies

Can't post pictures sadly, the jacket is with SuitSupply since they tried to fix the lapel. I never picked it up after they said they can't do it. But lapel wise it looks pretty much like this, but the breast pocket is even more covered...- Nomies

Wanted to ask for your opinion and see if I'm just nitpicking. I ordered a jacket from SuitSupply. Very good process, but no options to change the gorge and/or lapels other than width. When I get the jacket the lapels just feel off. The gorge, or rather the seam "creating" the gorge, is too...- Nomies
