Type of seam used for shirt alterations?

It was quite easy after I sacrificed the first practice shirt to the serger. Sergers are wonderful but dangerous time-savers because they stitch and cut the excess material all at once. :-) I used one of my tailored shirts as a template and set it on top of the new shirt (which is inside-out...

Type of seam used for shirt alterations?

I got the shirt back from the second tailor. It's a single stitch finished with a serger. It looks fine, just not as nice as the other place that used a matching flat-felled seam. On a side note, I got a quick training on my wife's sewing machine and serger and tapered 4 of my shirts one...

Fancy clubbing shirt - Jantzen blew it!

The fabric looks nice, has a nice sheen to it. What number is it?

Type of seam used for shirt alterations?

I'm trying out two tailors in Austin right now for shirt slimming. The first charges $16 if he serges, $20 to replicate the original double seam. I had him do a shirt with the double seam and it matches the other seams very well. The other tailor highly recommended using a serged seam ($20)...

    Suit hangers

I have the Target ones as well. For $4 they can't be beat.

Wallet vs. Card Case (front pocket question)

I also have an All-Ett wallet for front pocket use. I have the Leather European which is the smallest one that carries bills and credit cards. Obviously not the most elegant wallet, but the outside is a nice black leather and it is super thin.

BB Non-iron cottons shirts $39.75 starting Jan 6th

I've heard some complaints about the BB non-irons (or all non-irons) wearing out quicker than people expected, but what about their "unconditional guarantee"? Why not just return them for a new shirt or a full refund? You only need to buy the shirt once and they'll keep replacing it...

    Allen Edmonds Linden?

I'm looking to buy my first nice pair of shoes and as much as everyone likes the Park Avenue's, I just don't wear suits that often. I need a nice pair of shoes for jeans/chinos and button-down's. Would the Lindens be appropriate? They are not too expensive at Grapevinehill right now...

RLBL suits $300 @ Woodbury commons

40L Glen Plaid is still available. Good thing I called back, turns out the girl I spoke with was mistaken and it wasn't plain charcoal. They also still have the navy pinstripe in 40L.

RLBL suits $300 @ Woodbury commons

She said it wasn't the glen plaid, just solid charcoal gray (but she didn't sound like she knew too much about the suits). I guess I'll find out when it gets here. She also said there was a navy pin stripe in 40L but I needed something more basic.

RLBL suits $300 @ Woodbury commons

I'm not sure why, but I just ordered a charcoal gray RLBL suit in 40L. You guys are trouble....
