First fitting of the Fox City Char-Navy - it looks more gray than navy most of the time and especially from far away. More Navy under natural light. Decided to go for notch lapels and widen them a tad bit 3.5>3.75

I have a pair of trousers in Spence Bryson linen. Drapes very well but a little heavier. My tailor preferred it over w.bill but from what I understand, Spence Bryson makes their linens

Friend is having a wedding next year summer, What are some good tropical suitings in white/ivory? Going to be in a hot and humid country so I was leaning towards linens and tropical bunches

Single button peak lapel seems super tuxedo like to me but I understand the principle behind it - a longer lapel line and lower buttoning point. I’ll share some photos once the fitting is ready and decide then

Just got back from the tailor to commission a suit this time. Fox City CharNavy FC17 Classic single breasted with Flap pockets and peak lapel Wanted to get thoughts about Peak vs Notch Lapels for a “business” style suit. My suitsupply ones had Peaks and I thought they went well but I wonder...

Wanted a pair of trousers in these - how do you find the drape? Unfortunately out of stock now Does anyone go for a triple patch pocket for the more casual suits? Was thinking about getting it with the Walnut Brown Melange Fox Air.

The patterns lend themselves to being jackets especially the louder checks and gunclubs and if you add more casual details e.g. triple patch pockets

Nice Patterns and plains from the new fox air the FA2-44 and 45 probably remain the most popular melanges but I’d love a suit in the FA2-7 and FA2-15

He loves it on first handfeel called it a “cloth with guts” will hope he likes it when working on it. I have alternatively felt and seen the new fox air book. About 40 different swatches, mostly patterns but they still have the more popular swatches including the walnut malange. But all lovely...

My Fox city order is going to be my tailor's first experience with the fox books - hope it behaves well for him!

Confirmed with fox on the phone that tailors with Fox accounts should be seeing the new Fox Air books by end of this month

Looks like the new air book is in some hands - their latest instagram story shows someone flicking through it - some real nice patterns there- new plains right at the end

Found out the Walnut melange just got out of stock for the Fox Air (waiting until the new book comes out now, my tailor asked them and they said “a few months”) Instead went for the FC17 for a workhorse suit

And now I’m glad I haven’t started my current commission yet for the FA16. I wonder if they’re going to put out any new plain browns like the melange Does anyone have experience of the fox air snagging easily?

I’ll ask for my tailor’s opinion then, he just got the fox books but has worked with the Smith, Harrison, Hlesser books all his life. I’d probably err of trying the fox because of the colours. The WT27 looks amazing - wonder how the handle compares to lesser

How do the Fox worsted books compare to the typical worsteds (Botany, Lesser 13, Oyster, dugdale classics)

Yup that’s just me taking a poor picture with bad lighting You’re right actually, my tailor only uses 1.1m for a trouser so he can possibly fit 2 trousers and a jacket (1.8m) in the other length

Yup both. It’s a mid gray so I have a life time for trousers (4 pairs)

I’ve been able to get 2 bunches of Harrisons Universal Flannel (2.16m and 1.97m) for about £150 - is that a somewhat reasonable price for it?

Speaking of lengths, how do you all store them? I’ve just used individual plastic bags for them and then have an even bigger plastic bag over them.
