Hahaa that was an ice burn alright.

You got me, I make this stuff up so I can look cool in front of a bunch of my online fashion peers whom I've never met.

I actually don't own any of it because I don't take the time to snap everything I buy.

I just picked up a pair of RM Williams Craftsman in Chestnut Yearling at Australia Fair in San Francisco. They have a 10% off sale so total was ~$390. Great service by a guy named Andy there. G'day.

They're over $100 less than that from Nungar.

xchen, are you sure? I checked the RM Williams thread and the prices weren't significantly cheaper given the poor USD performance. Also, there seems to be some problems around customer service and delivery.

Anyway, I was in SF and didn't want to wait anymore. $100 amortized over 5-10 years is immaterial. And yes, I do have shoes that old...

I definitely agree with you on the shoes lasting a lifetime thing, and these definitely will, but Nungar has these listed at $265 AUD which is $246 USD right now. I think it's another $50 AUD for shipping which is about $46 so it would be roughly $100 less. I will be getting a pair of these gorgeous shoes eventually but I think I'm going to go with black.

Have you seen those apartment signs while driving that says "if you lived here, you'd be home by now"? Sort of the same thing... for a $100 more, you could be wearing them right now.

I highly recommend them. They really are as comfortable as people say they are and they look great.

My two recent purchases together

samurai s0500xx, and PS starr's. I think they go together pretty well (unintentional, that). Pretty sure the samurai's need a hot soak, although I'd rather not

you need to soak them to shrink them, otherwise first time you ever wash they won't fit
