Let me start with some round toes from EG 82, Vass F, and Carmina Robert.

For me, the EG82 is clearly the best of the bunch.

Surprisingly.....I like the AE5 better than the Vass F and EG202 side by side. My EG round toes are 65 last....which is a little more casual. The AE5 does not fit me too well, unfortunately.

Also, I'd like to see the Carmina Robert / Vass F side by side with a cap-toe on the Carmina. I think the top stitching on the apron is making it look clunky, but in a similar shoe I think they would be almost identical.

Any comparision pics of the EG 808 vs 888? I have seen both and believe that the 808 is a softer square toe vs the 888. The 888 seems to be a harder chisel while the 808 can look slightly roundish if that makes sense.

For some reason the F last does not photograph well. In reality, they are much more slender.

LOL thanks, its like they say. You usualy dont find what you are looking for. Had a hunch there might be a similarity. Tried on a HG 337 lasted double monk WITH CAP in germany, they did not have it in the finnish I wanted so I have asked C&J both France & UK. But a VASS Flasted double monk seems to be a slightly better now. Now for some comparative shots of a Stuarts Choice (Grenson MP) & EG or C&J ...

Santoni FAM (last number?) vs EG 606.

The wholecut is Santoni FAM EG Perth on 606: "faux" saddle, side scroll and hand stitched apron with under seam split toe.

C&J 348 (UK 5.5E) vs C&J 337 (UK 6E):

(the shoe on the 348 is half a size smaller than the shoe on the 337)

C&J 337 (UK 6E) vs C&J 341 (UK 6E):

And both those fit you good? I have the impression most do things the other way ... To me the 348 always seems narower & pointier than the 337, but have not tried on a 348. I find the 337 firts half a size smaler than 248 (redundant last)

The 337 in my usual size fits me great.

The 348 in my usual size is fine at the toe end but too loose at the heel, so I tried going down half a size. This gives a better fit at the heel, but it's now a bit narrow at the toe. I should really get them stretched at some point.
