This has been on my "to buy" list for some time. Just more than I want to spend. Plus I have had my eye on the rose gold model, which simply puts it too far out of reach.

I like it very much.

That's a Chopard Mille Miglia GT XL, the size if I remember correctly is 44m case diameter and 14mm case thickness. TBH, it looks really good on a mid sized wrist. And it looks great as a casual watch and as a sporty dress watch. Since I'm a web developer I seldom wear suits unless I'm clubbing and it looks great no matter what I'm wearing.

Yep. Just so you know, I blame you.

Bought one of the watches in LNIB condition, and both at ridiculously low prices. I lamely justified it to myself as an investment.

I take partial responsibility, okay...

Now, which ones did you get? Hopefully a 44mm Luminor?

The 177 which I know you like, and the 203 (at 47mm, I was unsure of the size, but it does look quite nice). The 177 was with box and papers, but the 203 was without both but at a very very low price. Unsure of its authenticity, I took the watch to a AD, and they confirmed it was the real deal.

- got it from an acquaintance who hated the size, and wanted to replace it with a AP Royal Oak. Paid nowhere close to list.

well... if you end up hating the size too... you know you have an (online) acquaintance who's always willing to help!
