You need to shampoo it(some use borax). They put a powder on new brushes so they don't get mites.

Tch tch tch... Asking about price is so not you LK... and Lucite is just plastic. They do have tortoiseshell handles, in plastic. I suppose one could convince Maison Bonnet to put a real tortoise handle on for the price of a small car... I did like the caps on the old versions of the bottle for Hermes' Bel Ami perfume, with tortoiseshell and inset ivory (both plastic, unfortunately).

Plastic tortoise-shell is immoral.

My tortoise-shell book shows a vanity set with blonde shell lids; and I have a woman's cosmetic minaudiere made out of blonde shell. Very nice though someone might mistake it for some kind of bakelite.

I think it's just a decorative item though nice for burglars; it's a hefty SOB.

Although, I'm sure hung like a whale would be even better.

Wow, just when you think some people on this forum can't get any weirder, they bust out their decorative walrus dick and you have to start all over again.
