Sure, fair enough, but I figure if you're going to be harsh, blunt, or what have you, you might as well toss in something constructive. For example, his jeans don't fit properly and the shirt tuck looks ridiculous. I'm not going to say "good first attempt" or whatever, but it hardly helps at all to say "you dress like a marsupial".

Or maybe you were being constructive; maybe I'm making an unjust assumption in thinking that your suggestion that he get a rubber helmet wasn't meant seriously.

Not really worth arguing about, just thought it was pretty discouraging even if he did do everything wrong.

you're a douche...damn...you're right, rye...that was easy...

your post wasn't a critique shrouded in sarcasm...it seems like it was more some kind of a weird-ass, calculated newbie sacrifice...and, whatever your motive was, it came off really lame to me...you're a bit too old to pull off the "angry young brit" thing, anymore...

it's too bad i can't speak as fully on this topic as i'd like to too, as you successfully scared another newb's pic off the forum, before i had a chance to look at it...

whatever you're trying to do, you're doing it well...but, if you think you're strengthening the forum by thinning out the herd, i think you should loosen up your jeans, take the stick out of your ass and re-think your position

Actually, I don't know many straight males who do say that to girls. And I've experimented enough with being a gentleman, and it's kinda boring really.
Not every woman would be flattered.
True. But I actually think the majority would be, at least secretly. It is a compliment. Crude, yes. But still a compliment. Of course it does depend on how you say it.
And honestly, is this something you would have said had you saw her on the street?
Honestly, I have said that to girls, but only after establishing some sort of rapport with them. I've not done it first thing right off the bat however, but it's actually on my to-do list. I'll let you know how it goes, I'm curious to see how many times I get slapped. Wish me luck!
