Just got this but it is too big for me. Tagged size 46. I thought this was the italian size (making it a US 36), but it seems to be cut really large, so see measurements. The jacket is lined and lightly insulated. The closure is only snaps, no zipper. Shell is 100% wool, Lining is nylon, and the knit of collar/hem/cuffs is polypropylene.

$230 shipped with insurance within US.

measurements:
shoulder-to-shoulder: 20 inches
pit-to-pit: 22.75 inches
back length (top of collar to bottom): 27 inches
sleeve length (from shoulder seam along top of sleeve) 25.75 inches

This is how it fits me, and I'm about 5'9" 145 with a 35" chest:

I was tempted to buy that coat, but my previous experiences with the older Jil Sander outerwear kept me from pulling the trigger (thankfully). But it does look really nice, and at a great price.

i suppose that would make more sense. The tag simply says 46 and doesnt give any equvalencies.

If you don't mind the shoulder seam falling 3" down the arm and the sleeves about 3" too long!

The sleeves may be hard to fix; but, the body and jacket fit fine

Jil Sander tagged Italian 46 is a US 36.

I personally don't think it is a flattering fit.

But it is a great looking jacket.

It isn't on anyone if you are looking for a "slim" or "trim" fit. It's very padded and filled...it's meant for warmth and it is VERY warm.

Maybe sizing down a size will allow the shoulder seam to fall near his shoulder and provide a shorter sleeve size.
