Yes, but the research woefully neglects to account for the overwhelming sexual allure of short Asian men.

Would that be countered by the high % of asians on this forum.

I'm 5'9". It's so stupid when people try to squeeze a few extra inches on me and lie about their height.

Actually I bet the average height here is lower than average for the represented demographics.....Not counting the fact that studies like the one you presented are highly contested, although possibly valid. Children get taller as their parents reach a certain level of living, but that doesn't mean tall individuals are favoured in the workplace, for example. I'm sure some of those you posted do address that issues, for some reason the links aren't working for me...

Oh and I don't have a dog in this fight being 5'8" which is slightly below average for an american male but average for my demographic group (I'd say).

oh ho ho so it seems like SF is evenly distributed. my hypothesis of shorter folks was based off of all those "slim/shorter person help" threads in MC/SW...i guess i forgot to take into account the fact that taller folks would NOT post threads like that

that's interesting, because i also THINK there are a lot of ASIANS on SF, accounting for most of the shorter folks.

you forgot to mention our larger head size, accounting for a bigger brain, which as we all know means we're smarter

6' - 3 and 3/4"

Never made it to 6'4". I am in the middle height-wise of 5 boys (no girls) in my family. We would make a heck of a B-ball/V-ball team if we had any coordination....

My brother was supposed to be 6'2", took up smoking at age 13 and is 6'6". Absolutely no interest in basketball. I was supposed to be 6'6", never smoked, played basketball at least five days a week until my late twenties and wound up at 6'2". Life isn't always fair.

Same here. I was 6'4" in sneakers so that's how I was listed when I played basketball.
