Rage Against the Machine, and pretty much any hardcore-rap, metal, or hybrid thereof.

Lots... from TOOL, to gatecrasher/Ministry of Sound... to Heavy Trance... to dance/techno...to FM radio.... anything really depending on mood.

"Rocks Off" is such a great song!

The Crystal Method Community Service II and Vegas and some of their other tracks always get me pumped.

Paul Oakenfold's tranceport and creamfields also kick it up for me.

Interesting choices... I agree with some that really heavy, fast stuff makes me feel burnt out after 20 minutes or so, though I like to have some in there (audio intervals?). Can't beat some hardcore (Gorilla Biscuits, Bad Brains, Kid Dynamite) if you have some kind of sprint, though...

Current mix (shuffled):

Big Boss Man - Sea Groove (from ESL's Outernational Sound album)
Phoenix - Run, Run, Run
M83 - Gone
Mark Ronson/Alex Greenwald - Just (jazzed up radiohead cover)
Get Up Kids - Close to Me (Cure cover)
Foo Fighters - Hey Johnny Park
Eagles of Death Metal - I Only Want You
Wolfmother - Joker and the Thief
Four Tet - Everything Is Alright
Dino Jr. - Just Like Heaven (live)
LCD Soundsystem - Daft Punk Is Playing at My House
U2 - Sunday Bloody Sunday
Beck - Rental Car
Daft Punk - Robot Rock
Tiga - Far From Home
Foo Fighters - Monkey Wrench

System of A Down, Outkast, 2Pac, AFI... and yeah. Angsty music like Jimmy Eat World works too sometimes. My gym tends to play good workout music though so I don't need to bring my own. I think they might use mix tapes.

I tend to eye up a good pair of jeans and I get all excited about getting them, then wearing them for a good night out clubbing. So while I'm lifting in the morning, I think of those jeans, the clubs, and I put on whatever trance music I have handy. Usually a one-hour set of Ferry Corsten, or some funky japanese remix music, like Every Little Thing's trance remix album
