Demi-mesure, which isn't really either. I love their shirts, I really do, but I'm not sure I can recommend the demi-mesure program. mytailor.com shirts are cut more flatteringly for me than Charvet demi-mesure.

How did you change AM's mind about a two button close being a bad match for you?

those Changs look great-- are they the new hand tailored shirts?

Anna M. shirt looks good! Myself, I'm veering away from the hockey-puck sized heavy buttons, they were becomming difficult for me on shirt cuffs and double button collars. or maybe it's the whole obsession with Kiton I have at the moment

This too will pass.

I'm curious as to why you went with a two-button collar instead of one. It seems that the width is too narrow to properly encompass two buttons and one would have been fine.

I do believe that this is the first time that I have ever understood an inside joke on this forum. Now if someone could tell me why damn near every Manton post on the entirety of the internet has been deleted...

You know, I'm not sure exactly what happened. I think she recommended one button until after the first fitting, but then she saw that the collar had to be higher than expected. It's hard to see from these photos, but I can imagine that one button might not have held it up properly. Two buttons seem to fit quite well, actually. I'll try to show clearer pictures on the blog.

It was like 1%. There is an explanation, but it is one that is embarassing to me personally, thus I don't wish to state it openly. However, the appropriate apologies have been conveyed.

That's fine as the explanation is really none of my effing business-- after all, the internet owes me precisely nothing. That said, I don't know what could possibly be embarrassing about Manton's guide to silhouettes.

No, no. The posts themselves were not embarassing. (OK, some of them were, but not that one.) My reason for deleting them was.

Anyway, that one was salvaged. I would restore it to the original thread, but the edit function won't allow me to.
