I think I'll get my bf something for Christmas. Le Labo does a personal label or whatever, right?

Going out for the evening: Montale's BLACK AOUD. If you're into aouds, this one is beautifully blended by the master. This is the scent they spray inside their boutique at Place Vendome in Paris.

Yes, they do, and good choice. Depending on what kind of guy your BF is, I'd recommend either Patchouli 24 (for something dark, smokey, and great for wintertime) or Rose 31 (a slightly off-kilter, but very compelling rose scent... probably better for daywear/work). They also do a "sampler set" (I believe they also can personalize this) with a few different ones; this, too, might be a good choice instead of buying just one.

12/15: I'll see your Black Aoud and raise you one Steam Aoud (my SOTD).

^Interesting choice; I'll have to give that one a try next time I'm sampling. I thought I'd had or sampled most of the Le Labo line... but I never made it to the Fleur.

Geesh, your BF is getting some great stuff this year!

Edit 12/16: In the spirit of SoCal's Le Labo, I'm sporting Patchouli 24 today.

L'Artisan Parfumeur - Dzing! Love this stuff, which is a mystery, because I don't like circuses, and this fulfills its brief and smells like one.

You've inspired me today, so in an effort to find something with an equally good sandalwood/vanilla base as Egoiste, I'm sporting Goutal Les Nuits d'Hadrien.

Wow. It takes guts to wear this. I have a bottle and though I like it very much, it is a "difficult" scent to wear. Truly masculine and don't f--k with me scent.

Today I am wearing FM MR. Just had a massive snow storm and it is freezing today. Something warm, creamy and mysteriously sexy......

Not generally much of one for florals, but the pepper makes this one a winner. The civet contributes a nice bit o' dirt.
