Bingo. Although I wish someone brought up the whole pesky "˜Old Testament' problem; I would have paid to see her try to talk her way out of that one.

Regarding the roundness of the earth, only an idiot can possibly answer that question with "˜I don't know'. She is a person of means living in what is arguably the "˜first' country on earth at the end of 2007...I really can't believe she is for real; she is like a bad intellectual dream incarnate.

"I don't know" can be a well-educated and acceptable answer to whether the world is flat. A sphere in a Euclidean 3-dimensional space only occupies a two dimensions in a non-Euclidean space, no? I'm admittedly not very well-versed in cosmology or topology, but the universe could very likely be non-Euclidean. I'm not sure what 'flat' in a Euclidean sense translates to in a non-Euclidean space, so "I don't know" seems appropriate.

As for the rest of the 'stupidity,' I don't see the point in arguing how many fairies can dance on the head of a pin.

I think they're trying to appeal to all demographics that watch TV at a certain time of day. They have BW, that gives people the excuse to some women that the show can't be completely stupid. They have the big dumb fat one that seems to have been hand-plucked from the ghetto, based on her comments in that video. They had the pretty asian girl... maybe to prevent husbands from knocking their wives over the heads with a frying pan and immediately changing the channel? And lastly, they have the typically annoying, nagging, over-40 white woman (don't know her name). I think they might have replaced the pretty asian with a pretty blonde, but the youtube quality was pretty low so don't quote me on that.

Ya, but she's generally well-respected and is someone i think a lot of women look-up to. Of course, she's probably changing this with her participation on that show.

You're operating under a suppressed premise that non-Euclidean space has only two dimensions. People like Minkowski and Riemann would probably argue with you. And then you have observable vs. global universe, which I won't even get into as I am too old and busy to try and understand Thurston or Poincare.
