82 last this time I think.

I wouldn't touch the color. They are unique and fantastic.

Thanks for the kind words John...

I took the original photos in haste. It was late evening when I got around to opening the parcel. Poor artificial lighting & a less than ideal camera phone have not helped. I have since taken some better photos that are far more representative and I think help to portray the boots in a better light.

Seeing the boots in daylight has quashed my concerns. I am entirely happy them as is, although I would still like another pair.

Why, may I ask, did you go with a single sole and not a double?

A double sole, in my opinion, is a little incogruous on the shannon. I find the sleek 82 last and overall elegance of the boot is subtly enhanced by a single sole. Same with the blind eyelets, I wonder why more don't opt for that option!

I do however like the bulk of a double sole on a blutcher boot. It's not a hard and fast rule though, I've seen double soled U last Vass' that look stunning.

Thanks for the positive comments from all!!

Thanks synthi, they are on the 888.

I think your choice of midnight was inspired. Great work!

I think it looks like the 350:

- but it might be yet another new C&J last.

If it ever gets released outside of Paris, I would imagine it would cost around GBP 360, in line with other Handgrade boots.

Whoa! At that price I'd rather pay a bit extra and get EG.

When precisely does one wear a pair of boots like these? For what occasions?

Also, the price of GBP 360 I quoted includes VAT; price excluding VAT would be just over GBP 300.
