^^^ That's a heck of a shirt.

I love the dial on that Omega though.

Thanks LabelKing and Cantabrigian. The old watchband I picked up in a drawer in an older watchmakers shop. The shirt is from a Toronto maker -Trend Tailors.

acidicboy - mesh bracelets are nothing new. They've been used on dive watches for decades

. I have gotten quite a bit of enjoyment from this relatively inexpensive (around $300 on the 'net) watch. To my mind it has quite a bit of the presence that the Panerai watches have.

Cue Panerai.

That one is nice. When the kids' money needs dry up I can dream about one. The vintage ones from the 40s and 50s are nice too. Every now and then I go look at the Egiziano pics available on the 'net.

gdl203, I really like this watch. How big is the case? Do you think it would fit on my 6.25" wrist?

You need A LOT of $$$ to get the vintage ones

Egiziano is very nice in pictures and obviously an important inspiration for the current subs, but it's pretty much unwearable. It looks like a clock strapped on a wrist...

It's 40mm and I don't think it's a problem at all. But that's my preference... some people like their watches 38mm or less. The Dornblueth above is 42mm and the Panerai Radiomir is 45mm to give you some points of reference....

Also, there is a 38.5mm version of that watch. Dial is very similar but the eaten numerals disappear almost completely.
