Does anybody know where I can buy a nice and heavy 2.25" to 2.5" wide leather belt (for men) ??
I have some jeans that have very large belt loops and am looking for a belt which fills up the entire belt loops. Haven't really found anything wider than 1.75 - 2 inches.
Any suggestions or does anybody have a belt this wide?

What's your budget for the belt?

That will be a wiiiidddde belt. I would look at Police belts. Google is your friend here. I think that www.leathergoodsconnection.com would do one for you too, but finding an appropriately sized buckle would be the problem.

My budget is let's say around $100. I have seen the police belts, however I would prefer something in dark brown and still slightly wider than a police belt (which is I believe 2.25"?). My belt loops are about 2.75" and I would like to get the maximum out of my belt loops. However it seems to be impossible to find this.
If there are jeans with those wide loops, it must be possible to get a matching belt.....or what are the widest belts you have?

My belts range from 1" to 2". 1.5" is pretty standard for casual belts. 2" is a;readu pretty wide. 1/25" and under is a slim belt. I don't think that jeans designers meant for a belt to be completely flush with the loops when they designed jeans.

G-Star sell wide-ish belts and they can be had for peanuts.

I agree. The larger loops are intended more for design, than function. Any belt over 2" is gonna look like you're wearing a "costume" (in my opinion).

I've recently seen some good-looking, wide belts at Nordstroms (of all places), in the "young mens" area (I forget what they call that department). They always have a good selection of interesting/unusual belts, most of them priced around $50.

And if you're lucky enough to have a Nordstrom Rack in your area, they've got great looking, quality belts at insane prices! We're lucky enough to have a Rack that's located in the bottom floor of the nearby Nordstroms. I often see belts that are still being sold upstairs for $85 (or more), showing up at the rack for $19.97...or less!

I often admire Linea Pelle belts. Unique, nicely made belts at a good price point. Most of their belts are 1 1/2"...

I just spotted a bunch of 'em...cheap:

i think a 1 3/4 belt is quite common as far as wide belts are concerned. most sites list this as their max size. however, leathergoodsconnection told me that a belt can be custom made to any width as long as your willing to pay the extra cost and provided you have a buckle to match it.

but wouldn't anything above 2 inches start to look like those big belts women wrap around their sweaters?

I'd highly recommend the leather goods connection guys. I had them make a 1.5" double d-ring belt that's plenty wide. Looks good with jeans and is not totally overbearing. I can't see wearing a 2" or 2.5" belt - it wouldn't fit through most beltloops and would definitely alter the balance of whatever you're wearing.

Thanks for your suggestions.
The jeans I have are g-star and chasin. The belt I currently wear is about 2 inches, but the belt loops still have a lot of space to put a wider belt.
I like the look of a very heavy belt, so I was wondering if there is anything bigger available.
