mcrib per se is not a tasty treat that you will fall in love with.
I used to be scared of ribs as a kid, I will see my tasting of the McCrib as a McLandmark in my life.
when you do, i recommend stick some soggy french fries (the longer, soggier/softer fries , the kinds i like actually) into the sandwich and eat it.

I think the answer to the mystery lies here. When the price differential between beef and pork gets big enough, McD's rolls out the McRib. This drives the price of pork up, and drives the McRib off the menu.The Wall Street Journal reported in 2001 that the pork industry receives a boost when the McRib returns.
