Holy ****. I've never seen a more generalized stereotypical view of hip hop. You're speaking of MAINSTREAM hip hop you dunce. Please don't slander the rest of the movement/culture that have talent.

That's MAINSTREAM? I thought my big mistake was attributing the characteristics of 'gangsta' rap to MAINSTREAM hip-hop. If those are indeed the attributes of MAINSTREAM hip-hop, then I stand by my assertion. I thought the MAINSTREAM comprised the majority of the culture - who are those you speak of that have talent?

FYI, dunderhead, a generalized view of anything will generally describe the MAINSTREAM of that particular subject.

My daughter's first grade teacher, who is very cool, is into hip-hop. Once a week, she does a little hip-hop class for the kids. Whatever culture or subculture she's working within seems ok to me.
