IMO, the Late Show band has the best job on the planet. You get to jam with everybody. You get to play at every Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction. You are well paid. Regular vacations. The hours are decent and you still have time to do studio gigs and make your own music on the side.

edit: and you don't have to tour.

Without being too specific about it, I think musician would be at the top of my list. Professional golfer would have to be pretty far up there, assuming I wasn't constantly fighting to keep my tour card.

True, but some are more dreamy than others. Actually, I kind of have a dream job right now. I don't have to do anything most nights, I just work on my own projects and we do prison style weight lifting when the boss leaves, go out to pubs if we feel like it, I sleep in til noon. The only part I don't like is that there are too many washed up hippies and I have to dress for occasional manual labor.

I don't know. My problem is that I hate pressure and chaos, yet, I thrive in pressure and chaos, and it's only really in those types of situations that I separate myself from the pack. So, I wouldn't be good at anything where there is no pressure, yet I don't really like the pressure. If that makes sense...

Me too, this is one reason I don't like this job too, a little too laid back. It is too hard to crack the whip on myself.
