Should I buy the J. Crew polos in the same size as I buy the Washed Favorite Shirt in? Those are supposedly a slim fit also.

Yes, they fit similarly for me.

I've tried on APC polos before also, but they are a little pricey.

When tailor-fit J Crew polos go on sale which is like $20-25/ea, it's hard to justify like $150 for a polo

Custom fit RL polos fit me great. You can usually find them online marked down like 40-50%. GIve them a look if your not completely decided on Jcrew.

+1 J Crew tailored fit. Both the mesh and jersey knit are nice. They come in long sleeves, too, for the fall/winter.

Dior polos are very nice and slim. In my opinion, Dior create some really simple polos but the details are in such right places.

Does anyone have a J Crew tailored fit polo that they can provide measurements for (chest and length)? I'm not sure whether to go for small or medium, and of course their site's measurement guide is absolute garbage.

I am 5'7 and 165 lbs with a muscular build. I wear a medium J Crew tailored fit polo. It fits me perfectly, as in tight around the arms etc. If i think i got a small i would've ripped it if i flexed.

I ordered a couple of the J. Crew polos in large, we'll see how they work out.

Once again, if anyone has actual measurements for these, please post them! This is the only thing keeping me from placing an order.

I bought a J.Crew "tailored fit" shirt online about a year ago. They were very untailored ( I suppose they may have sent me regular fit By accident).
