Yeah, it does seem a bit much since it's made in Thailand. Does L.E. do frequent or significant markdowns? Maybe the full price is just a ruse?

Only half an hour went by after HaystackÂ´s post and the price has already dropped to Â§Â§ 600. ThatÂ´s what I call responsive to the customerÂ´s demands.

Landsend seems to be getting more expensive this year...IMHO

Yup, that's the one. I actually debated not mentioning it, to better the odds of it ending up in the discount bin.

I like that houndstooth too. But both are way overpriced for what they are.

I like that vest. Please do bump the thread if they go on sale as I don't follow LE too closely.

I doubt they hope to sell many of those suits -- I see it more as an attention-getter and respect-builder for the brand.

This thread has also been started on the AAAC sites - overkill.

However who on earth would spend Â£300 on a suit from a mail order outlet.

I predict that they will be distress sold quite quickly.

LE doesn't offer discounts, but at season's end, discounted items begin appearing as "overstocks". If you're interested in the suit, it might appear as an overstock in January. I'd check daily starting around Christmas.
