Why do they need to undress to see the art work? If they are there, then why are they hiding it? is the question.

And if a professional woman did dye her hair blonde, then it was subtle because I didn't notice a change.

This is really the difference between pros and non-pros. The latter change to be noticed, the former to avoid being noticed (eg, a bit of dye to hide some of the gray, etc). The latter want to draw attention to their appearance, the former to their competence and abilities.

Assuming that any respectable person would be wearing a suit, It is rare that you can find a tattoo parlor to tattoo your hands and face (feet are another one they like to stay away from) so they will be covered by their clothing.

Right you are. Just reread my post -- it said "at least not in law school". In other words, most of the girls I knew as an undergrad did live on the Telegraph side of campus; the ones I knew during law school generally did not.
Undergrad 90, law 93.

As you've said, we obviously have had different experiences. I've known successful professional women to make dramatic changes, including dark to blonde, purely for fun/aesthetics/whatever.

Sort of almost relevant: I recall being at a deposition one time and sitting next to an executive from one of the other defendant companies. We were on more or less the same side, and I was good friends with her attorney, so we were chatting during the depo. She leaned over, and her eyes got big, and she said something like "Oh my God, is that a tattoo your hand?"
I had a Strawberry Shortcake or Powerpuff Girls water-transfer tattoo on my hand that had been put there by my daughter that morning. The reaction was almost enough to make me go get an identical real one.
NB: If I got a real one I would definitely choose Powerpuff girls over Strawberry Shortcake.

The British Royals have been shot sans suits, in sporting and even bathing attire. I didn't notice any tats. Did you?

You didn't bother to dispute the point, so I will take this as a concession.

So what's stopping you? It would do so much for your professional image and presentation.

When you boyz get kicked out of school and have to get a job in the real world, why don't you wear your jewelry and tats on your sleeve, so to speak, so that your prospective employers can see them. Then come back and tell us how things went.
