What he said.

I'd prefer less contrasting buttons. The dark gray metal(?) ones you posted before would be dope on the charcoal thermal.

There is a 1" & 3/4" version of this button

And there is a 7/8" and 3/4" version of this button
button4.jpg
We could use one or two of the 3/4" buttons in place of the toggle...

Metallic convex buttons or just plain black large flat plastic buttons would look good.

plain medium gray buttons, quite large (1") or a bit smaller (3/4") and THICKER would look good. since it's a knit, it would look flimsy with smaller/thinner buttons.

toggle > buttons

I vote for: large & thick copper or horn buttons for the army green one; black, dark grey or blueish for the grey one.

definitely down for one of these provided the cut (high armholes, slim fit, decent length) remains the same. Dunno if I've already missed the party or not

This will be settled with pistols at dawn. Your lawn or mine?

Could go for trovata-like light blue or green buttons - or for a trad wink leather covered button...

For a second I read "Travolta-like" there. I was appalled, mostly because while I wasn't sure which of his movies you were referencing, I was pretty sure I never wanted any of my clothing to remind anyone of any of them.

I will be ken's second. I am all in favor of minimally-contrasting tonal buttons.
