Hurriedly had some pics taken this morning before heading out...

http://picasaweb.google.com/Bespoke.Gatsby/YaoCMT

i think i was pulling the pants a little on the last pic, hence the odd draping. probably not the best representation as I was rushing to head out for a conference.. but should give you guys a general idea of how it turned out. let me know if there are any requests for detailed shots.

His sleeves are fine. You just prefer your's too long.

My sport coat and odd trousers came in today. I need to get them pressed and wear them a couple times before I come to a final assessment, but my initial impressions are:

- jacket fit is good on the essentials (collar, balance, shoulders)
- construction is good
- shaping through the waist needs to be improved
- sleeves are too long
- trouser fit is good although there may need to be a little shaping through the seat

Fortunately, I think all the shortcomings are fixable and I think Yao shows promise. I'll see how he does on the alterations and then decide whether I will place a second order.

Gatsby,

The suit looks pretty good.

Dah, I also think the sleeves are short, but the shirt sleeves seem short too. May be it is jsut the way gatsby like.
Normally, the shirt & suit sleeves is long enough to cover the watch, IMO.

thanks for the comments. during normal wear the sleeve length is fine, though admittedly in the picture it doesn't come out clearly because I didn't "prep" myself much for the picture and my watch got caught on my right sleeve.

Are you going to wait until he returns to get refitted, and then ship back to HK? Did you ask about shipping costs back to US?

Yes, he's back at the end of October, so that works well for me.
